| Ingredients: 4 cups of water Vegetable boullion (buy the little cubes or squares), enough for 4 cups water. 1 large carrot 1 medium potato at least 2 large (3 small) cloves of garlic, or much more one branch of broccoli -or- several fists of cauliflower PLUS one tsp of caraway seeds a cup of dried pasta- rotini, ziti, macaroni, something which fits in a spoon. | |

Peel potato. and carrot. Chop or slice into bite-size pieces. chop broccoli treetops into small bitesize trees and slice the stem thinly (peeling is not necessary) -or- chop the cauliflower into small bitesize pieces |
Following instructions on the package make four cups of vegetable stock. Add one extra cube. Add pasta. Add potato pieces to broth. Add cauliflower if you're using it. Add carrot bits. |
| Chop garlic coarsely. Toss it in the water. Toss in the SLICED STEMS of the broccoli but NOT the tops (which if cooked too long get gross and grey) | wait until teh pasta is done . (maybe wash up the knives and cutting board or something.) Then add the broccoli tops -or- the caraway seeds. Stir for a few minutes, or until the broccoli tops are bright green (or taste one and see if it's soft but not too crunchy). |
